Maxime Douarre first studied chemistry at the University Institute of Technology of Le Mans (France) where he obtained a Two-Year university degree of Chemistry in 2013. A year later, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Le Mans. Then, he moved to Clermont-Ferrand (France) where he studied the development and synthesis of bioactive molecules. There, he obtained his Master of Drugs Sciences in 2016 after a six months internship at the University of Bordeaux working on the iodo-trifluoromethylation of unactivated alkenes under the supervision of Dr. Jean-Marc Vincent. He is currently working on the design and synthesis of molecular machines for his Ph.D. at the University of Bordeaux under the supervision of Dr. Nathan McClenaghan and Dr. Brigitte Bibal.
